It has been awhile

Post by TheCBDoctor » Wednesday, 30 July 2014, 7:32 AM

I know; where have I been? It has been a rough 12 months, so I had to put aside posting on the best radio forum on the Internet for awhile. Well I am back to start posting again. I have kept my sponsorship of this Website because I knew at some point I would be back.

I closed down my CB shop and have a lot of stuff to sell and give away. The new radios are all going to surface mount components and are getting cheaper. Truck drivers would rather buy a new inexpensive radio than have their old radios repaired. Unless they are in to the older radios made in Taiwan or The Philippines they buy the Chinese radios, which are junk. Let's be honest.

The export radios have killed the domestic radio market. I have decided to video radio repairs and share them with operators that still understand and enjoy the "Out-Law Band. Here is a link to my You Tube post on a common problem with failing 10 volt electrolytic capacitors.
" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

This an example of what I will be doing in the coming year. So what will I be selling? ......Everything..... I am just keeping my bench equipment, everything else has got to go. I will be posting a link to my Website that can only be opened from this forum and its members. Anyone going to my Website directly will not see the page. Only CBRT members will have access.

The list is too long to post here. I have a lot of photos to take and get my "For Sale" page up and running. One man's garbage is another Man's treasure. If you need it I probably will have it. I have to remember how to post and respond to questions, but I will be posting at least every other day.

It is good to be back; now let me see if I can start posting again. I'll figure it out.

As always respectfully,

Rick

The CB Doctor
Best Regards,

Rick, The CB Doctor
