Modern vehicles have several computers in them. Why are you needing to locate yours?

Not real sure on the Siverado, but if you are talking about the ECM (Engine Control Module) it could either be behind the Glove box or the passenger side kick panel.

what are you looking to do? I am not certain about your model without double checking, but GM does put some behind the glove box. Sometime you really have to look for it! PM me about what you are wanting to do and I can check to make sure we get the right one, if it was equipped with more than one.

hey shaft just trying to see if I could shield around it a little better, I think pro 151 might be right because on the right side of the glove box there is a small panel that comes off with some plugs in it!!!

The computer is located under the hood, under the big box that says "Electrical Center".

NO WAY, are you serious? That's pure genuis!
It's actually mounted below the electrical center - you will have to pull up the fuse block to get to it IIRC.

It is not under the electrical center. As others said a new vehicle has multiple computers. The powertrain control computer (engine and transmission) is under the hood beside the battery, its sitting at an angle. If you have the diesel then there are two stacked there, one for the engine and one for the transmission. Then under the dash to the left of the steering column is the body computer. Now remember that everything else in a modern vehicle is computerized and communicates over a data bus similar to a network. The instrument cluster has a computer, the radio has a computer, if you have power windows then there is one in each door, and there is one for the airbags under the drivers seat. If you have onstar then its behind the glove box. If you have anything else like the rear wheel steering then there are additional computers there.
