rci 2970 dx help
Hey!, newbie to cbrt . I have a 2970 dx I just bought used, everyone I talk with says the radio is a piece of crap, does not sound as good as an old galaxy 44 that I was running. I'm seeing 90 watts on whistle in meters, and a whole lot less on just talking into mic. How can I bring up my audio and performance of this radio, short of getting rid of it? Thanks in advance for any help!

Re: rci 2970 dx help
Sounds like your having a power issue might be a bad final or a modulation problem, rather than mess around why not contact Ranger, and let them fix it right. It might cost some real money but that's better than buying another radio, the radio is not junk, there are a lot of guys that would love to have one. Mine would do about 160 screaming into the mic so your at about half of what a good talker would do
