Magnum S-6 Roger beep modifications

#382170

Post by stratotanker »

Does anyone know where the Roger beep circuit board is at on a Magnum S-6?

I'm wanting to change the tone length and perhaps the tone itself. I'm wondering which resistor and which capacitor controls the length and tone?

Thanks in advance.

here is the schematic for the radio. looks like c134 is the cap you want but not sure about the resister. my eye's started crossing on me so had to stop looking. hard time typing this for me eyes hurting.
if you will look at the center right side of the schematic you will see where the roger beep hooks up. just trace it over to C134 and loo at the resisters in the circuit and try one to see which one will change the timing.

Hey just wanted to say thanks for the post. You are right. It is C134. I was able to swap out the stock cap with a bigger one. Roger beep is now a few seconds long.
