Cobra 25 lx

I have a cobra 25 LX and when I key the Mike the meter lights up about half way but when I talk it doesn't light up and further I guess I should say the lighted bars don't increase when I talk

It should increase when I talk what would cause it not to

does the radio show power increase and modulation on an external watt meter. see if this has any info for the LX version radio. not sure if it will help or not.

here is the schematic for the main board and the front panel in case you need it. just make sure all the connections are good as stated in the 1sst link I left you for the service bulletin

Yeah Sonoma the radio keys up and works like it should it's putting out like 25 watts. The bars for the meter light up about halfway and when I talk they stay the same they don't light up further as I talk

just check the bulletin I left you. should be the same from what they stated on repairs for the front panel. check for bad solder joints or any other loose connections on the face.

I finally got the cobra 25 fixed it was a wire that was broke loose
